IT'S SIMPLE!
All Our Programs are Created and Focused on 2 Things:
1) Meeting Specific Community Needs: We individually evaluate each community to identify its greatest need. We then recruit volunteers, develop a strategy, train the team and implement the plan. Once the program is under way, we mentor the team to achieve maximum success for the community and our volunteers.
2) Training & Mentoring Future Community Leaders: Our successful and experienced Mentors train and develop each HOPE team member to successfully run and manage their HOPE program. Consequently, team members become effective leaders and advocates for their communities, and its future development.
Our Founders
HOPE was formed in December of 2010 by Gordon and Kathy Winans, who had a heart for and wanted to assist in helping our declining American Communities. They realized the only way to make a true impact was to go directly to each community individually, identifying its specific needs and developing custom designed programs that meet those exact needs.
Gordon has been an ordained Minister for over 30 years and is a Consultant/Business Developer who has served both Corporate America and Entrepreneurs for 35+ years. He is the Founder and Owner Operator of GYPA Business Development, and an Ordained Minister and Elder with the National Association of Christian Ministers. Gordon has served as youth pastor, associate pastor and senior pastor, done mission work in Belize and the Yucatan Jungle in Mexico; as well as co-founded "Professionals in Ministry". His passions include working with the youth and the elderly.
Kathy has had a long and distinguished career as a Corporate Executive in the Insurance Industry. She was born in Tampa, Florida and has lived in the area her entire life. Her heart has always been for taking care of the elderly; as well as an advocate for animal rights. Her retirement plan is to simply serve her community and those who live within it.
Kathy and Gordon were high school sweethearts and have been together for over 46 years. They have 2 children and 4 Grandchildren.
